  • WHAT IS NINE LIVES?
    Brisbane’s favourite record store Jet Black Cat Music is teaming up with Handsome Tours to bring back the Nine Lives Festival for it's third year! A one-day, three-stage event to take place at the iconic Tivoli, Nine Lives promises to be a very Brissy block party for lovers of tunes, friends and community. The music will take place across two stages. Indoors will be the gorgeous main theatre inside the Tivoli as well as the What’s Golden room where live music will take place. Outdoors will be a bazaar of food-trucks, sausage sizzles, record crates, market stalls and activities for one and all.
  • WHERE'S NINE LIVES?
    Nine Lives will take place at the Tivoli at 52 Costin St, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006. The festival will be both inside the Theatre and with DJs outside in the carpark.
  • WHEN'S NINE LIVES?
    Nine Lives will take place on Saturday March 4 2023 from 11.30AM - 12AM. Exact set times will be released closer to the event!
  • WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?
    Tickets are available online via Moshtix. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday 9 December at 10am Brisbane local time. Any re-sale tickets will be availbale via Tixel. Please not, Tixel is the only authorised re-seller. We highly recommend you do NOT purchase from sites such as Facebook, Viagogo, and Gumtree. Nine Lives is not responsible for the purchasing of fake/scam tickets.
  • HOW DO I GET TO NINE LIVES?
    By Train: Fortitude Valley station is the closest train station to The Tiv. Exit onto Brunswick St and turn right, walking away from the Valley Mall. By Bus: The closest bus stops are The Old Museum (Bowen Bridge Rd) or the Jubilee Hotel (Saint Pauls Tce at Constance Street). By Car: There is no on-site parking at The Tivoli. You can find some on street parking in the surrounding areas but it’s limited. There is a Secure Car Park and the King Street Car Park close by, both are $10 on weekends and after 4pm and 6pm respectively on weeknights. The RNA Showgrounds Car Park is also just around the corner. By Rideshare: Costin St is a one-way street with a loading zone right outside the venue. The rideshare services UBER and Ola can be accessed via their respective smartphone apps. Yellow Cabs and Black & White cabs can be booked by calling 13CABS.
  • IS THERE A LIMIT ON HOW MANY TICKETS I CAN BUY?
    Yep. 10 tickets per customer.
  • WILL THERE BE REFUNDS?
    If you originally purchased tickets before the reschedule and can no longer attend, contact Moshtix. Please see the Moshtix Terms and Conditions for more information about refunds.
  • CAN I RE-SELL MY TICKET?
    If you can no longer attend the event, we recommend using Tixel to sell your ticket. Tixel is a verified fan-to-fan marketplace that verifies tickets before they’re listed and caps prices so it’s fair for everyone – whether you’re buying or selling. And if you are selling, your ticket is listed in front of keen fans who are ready to buy. Tixel helps you buy and sell tickets in just a few clicks, and sign up to specific gigs to get notified as soon as tickets are listed.
  • WHERE CAN I BUY A TICKETS IF IT'S SOLD OUT?
    We strongly recommend you DO NOT purchase your tickets from an unauthorised ticket seller such as Viagogo, Gumtree, Facebook., etc. If you do, there is no guarantee your ticket will give you access to the event. The only authorised ticket sellers for Nine Lives are Moshtix and Tixel.
  • I PURCHASED MY TICKET BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL. WHERE IS IT?
    Contact Moshtix - they’ll be able to help you out.
  • IS NINE LIVES ALL AGES?
    Unfortunately not, this is a strictly 18+ event.
  • WILL I NEED AN ID?
    Yes, as this is an 18+ event you will need a government issued ID. Photocopies are not acceptable forms of ID.
  • WILL I NEED CASH?
    All of our bars will accept card payment BUT if you’re looking to buy merch, we always recommend bringing some cash in case band’s don’t accept cards.
  • IS NINE LIVES WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
    Yes! The Tiv has wheelchair access via ramps at the front door. For a companion pass please call The Tivoli on 07 3852 1711 with your card details.
  • CAN I BRING MY DOG THIS YEAR?
    It breaks our heart but unfortunately doggos will not be permitted this year due to COVID-19. They'll have to sit this year out, but we promise they will be welcome back in future years!
  • WILL THERE BE PASSOUTS?
    Pass-outs are not available. Please plan ahead to make sure that you don’t need to leave for anything – once you’re in, you’re in!
  • CAN I BRING IN MY OWN FOOD AND ALCOHOL?
    Nope! You will not be able to bring food or alcohol inside of the festival. Fear not though, there will be plenty of bites and booze to purchase inside, including our backyard BBQ!
  • CAN I BRING IN A WATER BOTTLE?
    Yep - reusable water bottles are allowed, however they have to be empty when you enter the site. They can be refilled inside.
  • CAN I BRING MY CAMERA?
    Nah. Please leave your DSLRs at home as they will not be accepted into the event unless you have an official photographer’s pass. We recommend using your eyeballs to view the gig as opposed to your phone. It’s soooo much better - we promise.
  • CAN I BRING WEAPONS?
    What?! No! Don’t be a nincompoop.
  • CAN I BRING DRUGS?
    No!! When has this answer ever been ‘yes’ except for your mate Jono’s bush doof over New Year’s 2 summers ago? There is a zero-tolerance policy for illegal substances.
  • CAN I BRING IN GLASS?
    No, except your spectacles.
  • CAN I BRING IN AN UMBRELLA?
    Unfortunately umbrellas are not permitted in the venue, so if it looks like it’s going to rain please pack a poncho or rain jacket!
  • WHAT IF IT'S RAINING?
    This is a rain or shine event! Please be sure to bring a rain jacket or poncho in the event that it does rain.
  • AM I ALLOWED TO SMOKE?
    Smoking is not permitted inside of the Tivoli. Outside of the theatre smoking will only be permitted in designated smoking areas.
  • WILL THERE BE A CLOAKROOM?
    Since nobody wears cloaks anymore (and it's Brisbane) we don’t have a cloak room. What you bring with you must stay with you during the event and you’re responsible for the care of your
